Christmas is coming again, people start putting the decorations up in November (which iritates me as Christmas and November do NOT mix). Anyway my friends and I are going down town Sheffield saturday night starting on West Street (after the Sheffield United vs Charlton Athletic match) and we're going fancy dress. I need to think up what I'm gonna go as, only thing I can think of so far is Neo from the Matrix and I need to get a hotel booked too. Last sunday I took part in a charity Football tournament called The Mel Rees Tournament. The tournament raises funds for St Lukes Hospice in Sheffield and has been running for 3 years now ever since the success of the first tournament back in 2003 to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the passing of Mel Rees, a Sheffield United goalkeeper who lost his battle against cancer. My friends who run the sheff-utd.co.uk website entered a team into the competition, we got beaten in all our games, but in our "wooden spoon" playoff, we "made sure" we got the spoon by loosing on penalties, but all in all it was a great day, we all had a smile on our fa

Well, I'm finally there... I've hit the age of 21. In the USA, I would be allowed to finally drink... problem is, I'm from the UK and you can drink from 18, so I've had 3 years head start. :p Had a nice night out in town on Sunday night after the final Footy game of season to see the Blades clinch 2nd spot and win promotion to the Premier League, the ULTIMATE birthday present from the team I have supported since 1988, the start of the Dave Bassett era, it was also nice to see off the legendary Brian Deane who was my childhood hero and was our best striker from 1988 - 1993 when after our stupid chairman sold him to Leeds... anyway enough of m
